WAUSAU, Wis., (WSAW)– For years, Marathon County has hosted a family fun event meant to agri-educate and provide a nutritious meal.
To talk about the upcoming June Dairy Breakfast organizer Samantha Straley joined the Sunrise 7 team.
The Marathon County June Dairy Breakfast is known for its delicious scrambled eggs, pancakes, real maple syrup, cheese curds and ice cream. During the morning show Straley brought samples of gourmet cheese; just a few samples of what guests can expect at this year’s event.
This year’s dairy breakfast will be held at Fustead Holsteins on Sunday, June 4 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The address is R12101 County Road N, Wausau, Wisconsin 54403. The tickets are $8 for adults, $3 for children 12 and under and children under 5 are free.
Straley said that the event is a great way for families to be introduced to local agriculture, “Tours, educational exhibits and cheese tasting gives the community a first-hand look into the dairy industry and the contributions it makes to Marathon County.”
