WHO CAN YOU TRUST WITH YOUR NUTRITION?

Who Can You Trust With Your Nutrition? Blog | Pure Life Science

It’s very interesting to see the term “Ask your doctor,” when looking at supplements. One must understand that most physicians (like me) only received 45 minutes of lecturing on nutrition out of their four years of medical school. They also get very little education in statistics. Physicians are then released into the world knowing about which drugs treat which conditions and how to do some procedures, but are ultimately expected to weigh in and give advice on subjects they actually know very little about. Most have a plethora of magazines thrown at them full of questionable science, so their go-to is to suggest eating a well-balanced diet.

What exactly is a well-balanced diet? If you look at evolution, the diet our ancestors ate was 70% fat and 30% protein, and contained zero carbohydrates (sugar was not discovered until the 11th century). They were lean and strong. Just look at the statues from Greek and Roman times: the male athletes had little to no body fat. They ate a whole food, mostly raw diet and walked miles almost every day. They also had no tooth decay (as this only started with the introduction of sugar). If you look at gorillas, they are vegetarian and get very little exercise, yet their bodies are still able to support a massive muscle structure.

Ancestral Diet | Pure Life Science

If you look at the longest-lived societies in the world (fishermen of Okinawa, the Seventh-Day Adventists in Loma Linda, California, and others), their diet consists mostly of raw vegetables. It’s not the fish! Our bodies are set up to consume food in its raw, uncooked form. Cooking was only developed to allow us to process the muscle from animals better (carnivores actually eat the liver, kidneys, and bone marrow of a kill first, as that’s where all the easily digestible, high- nutrient stuff is).

We have really screwed up our North American diet, and we are paying a heavy price for it (through diabetes, heart disease, and cancer). Getting a doctor’s advice may not be the most reliable way of correcting it (as Jonathan Swift said, “Reasoning will never make a man correct an ill opinion, which by reasoning he never acquired”). The Pure Form Omega® Natural formulation contains raw, vegan-sourced, organic, cold-pressed oils in an ideal 2.5:1 ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 in a capsule that holds a bubble of nitrogen. It was developed to give us the raw, unprocessed oils we are sorely lacking in our diet today.
